How to set Google Calendar reminder for longer than four weeks?

Google has still not come up with the solution of this infamous problem. It does not let you set reminders for longer than four weeks. One trick to set reminders for more than four weeks is :

1. Create an event in Google Calendar for up to four weeks.

2. Sync your Google Calendar with your local calendar on phone device.

3. Modify the reminder for any duration of period without any restriction.

Note - Apple Calendar does not have this kind of time restriction.
